The application process begins with registering as a user
Project CREATE will provide Academic Resources and Support for Native students to help bridge the gap with rising costs associated with academic tests and supplemental materials. Native students in the LTSA who are enrolled in Career and College Promise courses. college courses, or dual enrolled courses should apply. Financial assistance may be provided for ONE of the following: college admission application fee, college application test fee, certification test fee, supplies, computers (hardware/software), tools/kits for CTE certification. Once a student has been approved for the service, Project CREATE staff will contact them with additional details to complete the process.

College Day at the Lumbee Tribe Project CREATE will plan and coordinate an unforgettable college day for 110 Native students in the LTSA. College Day will include workshops that focus on admission requirements, financial aid deadlines, degree options, etc.

Students enrolled in CCP Classes at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) who must have a textbook can apply for payment for the textbook. The student should not make payment for textbook. The tribal staff will approve payment and send payment to FTCC. The student will receive an email or text when payment is approved. IMPORTANT: Project IndigeCHOICE may only pay for textbook(s) for Native students enrolled in CCP courses in Cumberland County Schools or Native students from Hoke, Robeson, or Scotland counties who are enrolled in CCP courses in a private school or being homeschooled. Documentation of enrollment will be required for participation in textbook services.

This service is designed to provide students with a culturally relevant Tutoring Program. Tutoring services will be provided to students in grades K-12th within the Lumbee Tribal Service Area. Students may request assistance in Math, Reading, or Science. Project CREATE will provide six tutoring sessions throughout the grant year (10.01.2025 - 09.30.2026). According to grant guidelines, parents may choose ONLY one tutoring session per grant year. Please choose the ONE session that you think would best fit the needs of your child.

Creating Helpful Options to Integrate Culture and Education

Project IndigeCoice is a five-year United States Department of Education grant, awarded to the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina to serve American Indian students. The Assessing Choices in Education (ACE) grant was designed to allow the Lumbee Tribe to set up a variety of education options and services from which parents or students can choose. The grant will begin providing services and programs October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2025.
